Everyone deserves a break—even our kids, whom we all know have it pretty good most of the time. Whether our kids are toddlers, preschool or school-aged kids, we love March Break because it lets us step outside of our routine for one short week. In the spirit of getting away from the everyday, we have found a few great March Break camps that will let your kids try out a whole new life experience for a week.
The Elite Athlete
Inspired by all of those Canadian Olympic gold medals? If your child wants to be a sports superstar for a week, sign up for one of the amazing sports programs available through Camp U of T. With sessions available for kids aged 4–14, these camps are led by high-calibre professional coaches and are hosted at great facilities. Sports available include golf, beach volleyball, gymnastics, hockey and track and field.
The Creative Child
There are also amazing programs being run at the Harbourfront Centre over the Break. Courses have been customized for junior architects, junior authors, junior fashion designers and even pint-sized pop stars and drama divas. We love that there is a meal plan available from one of our fave kid caterers, Real Food for Real Kids (so you can get a week off of packing lunches!). While most of these creative camps are for kids aged eight and up, younger campers can always join in the fun at Harbourfront’s Camp by the Water, which starts at age three.
