Young Rembrandts Art Lessons

If you’ve got a budding Jackson Pollock adding colour to your walls, we say take the ‘Rembrandt’ route.

Young Rembrandts is an art school that not only teaches kids how to draw, but uses the fun of art to help increase their knowledge retention (that means using art to grow their smarts).

With programs for kids ages 3 to 12, Young Rembrandts uses a step-by-step drawing method alongside Montessori methodologies in order to help children use their ‘whole’ brain. The weekly classes are between 45 minutes and an hour and run eight weeks in various locations across Calgary. The younger artists are led with guided instruction, while the older students explore elements such as portraiture, perspective, colour theory, abstract art and more. We like that their site includes YouTube videos on how to draw some fun pictures to get the kids excited about class.

Have a child who loves to doodle? Consider signing them up for cartooning, where they can create original characters and learn to tell stories through drawing.

Drawing on artistic skills to enhance kids’ learning? That’s smart.

Get their creative juices flowing with these fun After School Classes for kids in Calgary.
