Go play in the streets. Well, sort of. Alleys are becoming the newest places for communities and families to gather thanks to the not-for-profit organization The Laneway Project.
Two Toronto urban planners and designers have turned many of the city’s once abandoned or underused places into greener more livable spaces through greening events, family-friendly pop-up festivals like a summer Laneway Crawl Series. They share this advice on how you can make these spaces safer and more attractive plays to play for families.
