Christmas traditions vary dramatically from family to family, but one consistent element is that the holidays are a lot of work, especially for parents in Toronto. One reason for all that work? That near universal tradition of a big and (hopefully) delicious meal. But what if this year you outsourced that momentous task to someone else? That’s right, instead of spending hours prepping dinner, all you need to do is pick up a pre-made take out Christmas dinner in Toronto (or in some cases have it delivered) and then toss it in the oven to warm it up.
While not quite as many restaurants are offering Christmas dinners to-go as in years past (heads-up westenders, the Lakeview’s famed deep-fried turkey is eat-in only this year), there’s still a nice selection of spots where you order your meal.
Below, we round up eleven Toronto-based caterers and restaurants that are serving up multi-course Christmas dinners to-go. While turkey is the star of most of these meals, we’ve made sure to feature a few other main course options, including vegetarian choices. We’ve also tried to include spots that cater to a range of price points and crowd sizes. While we’ve included the ordering deadline when known, we do encourage you to place your order ASAP to guarantee your meal.
