Efficiency is a critical skill when it comes to motherhood, we know. So cross the above off your list (and more) at the Children’s Trunk Show next Friday, November 14, being held all day at VanDusen Garden.
It’s the first year in Vancouver for the Children’s Trunk Show (after five successful years in Toronto) and it’s filled with fabulous vendors with truly unique offerings for mom and kids. It’s a celebration of women entrepreneurs who embrace womanhood, motherhood and sisterhood. Their cooperative collection is themed for children, with a smattering of hip adult items to let mom indulge a bit as well. All the special offerings combine creativity and flair with excellence in quality and workmanship.
You’ll find some familiar names if you have been paying attention to your SavvyMom newsletters. Perhaps you remember Po Po’s ponchos, Name Your Tune, or natural pod? Now you can see for yourself what they have for sale offline.
Among the many amazing vendors, one of our all-time favourite photographers, Beth Hayhurst Photography will be there as well as made in Canada Dallas-James adventure wear for kids. Look for out-of-the-box gift ideas too. We like the lovely items to decorate any kid’s bedroom from one of our newest fave shops Saplings (they specialize in beautiful, sustainable kids décor).
So for all those who think that holiday shopping is stressful—go early, bring cash or a chequebook and start crossing things off your list. You’ll be amazed at what a delight it is.
Admission is $4 at the door with a portion of the proceeds being donated to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
