Being married to a man who is a workaholic, a household name and truly outstanding in his field can make any woman (who is talented in her own right) feel under-appreciated from time to time. If you think you’ve got it bad, imagine how Mrs. Claus feels.
Presentation House Theater introduces us to another side of the famous Christmas story with Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen. Running in North Vancouver from December 11–21, this interactive musical is fun for families with children ages 7 and older.
Penned by local writers and choreographed by musical theatre legend Jeff Hyslop, the show contains goofy elves, magic cookies and songs that will make you get your groove on, so don’t be surprised if your kids are dancing in the aisles (or on the stage!).
Set in the early 1960’s, the play taps into the pervasive theme of time—and how none of us have enough of it—even for things that matter. So while the kids are laughing, adults might glean a deeper meaning. Like the best of animated films, this show has something for everyone.
We all know that behind every great man there’s a great woman, and it’s about time we heard from the Mrs. this Christmas.
