This sweet and simple two-ingredient recipe for banana pancakes is dairy-free and grain-free. It’s perfect for your toddler’s breakfast and will save you time in the morning, as it couldn’t be easier to make. Inspired by the Paleo diet trend, this toddler breakfast option is also ideal for anyone with allergies.

2-Ingredient Banana Pancakes Recipe

The basic recipe is easy to remember: 1 banana + 2 eggs = 4 pancakes, and the how-to doesn’t require a set of formal instructions. Simply mash the banana in a bowl with a fork, add the eggs and stir to combine. Pour pancake-size dollops of batter into a greased frying pan set over medium-low heat and cook until one side is browned. Flip over and brown the other side. Easy peasy, right?

You can certainly add a pinch of salt and/or cinnamon to the batter, and I’ve even heard of people adding a bit of plain yogurt or almond/peanut butter for a little extra protein boost. They can be topped with traditional pancake syrup or even fresh berries, chocolate chips, or coconut. Feel free to play with the recipe to make it your own.

Because these banana pancakes are made with nothing but wholesome ingredients, they’re also ideal for babies who are finding their way to table food. I’ve even heard of some adults loving them because they fall into the category of  ‘clean eating.’

Have you ever made these banana pancakes before? Do you have any tips to share? What flavour additions would you be inclined to include?
