To help counter the morning sickness, swollen feet and hormone overload comes another rite of passage for moms—The Baby Show. New and veteran moms flock to this annual event to find out about the latest prenatal, post-partum and baby & toddler product innovations, attend expert seminars and of course, shop.
The Baby Show takes place on September 27 and 28 at The Direct Energy Centre, Hall D, Exhibition Place, Toronto.
You can learn from parenting experts, bring your little ones to enjoy a show with Patty and Daniel Tiger from Kidsʼ CBC, enjoy a massage, join in a prenatal yoga class or visit the Well.ca Green Zone. Toddlers can burn off energy in the Tiny Hoppers Fun Zone and moms can learn about the latest new products in the pregnancy and baby world while interacting with national and local business owners and other new parents in your community.
But before you go, take note of our tips on how to make the most of your time while at the show—because trust us, there is a way to ‘do’ the show.
- Go early, before the crowds. You’ll get a better view of what’s in the show and the booths will be filled with samples that you’ll have first pick of.
- If you’re bringing the kids, make sure you check out the activities in the Kids’ CBC booth, or take a break at the DK Rest Area and Reading Nook.
- Review the list of vendors before you go so if there are any big ticket items you need, you can take advantage of show specials.
- Bring snacks—there is a Family Cafe for you to get something to eat, but if you’re pregnant, you may get hungry, and if you have kids with you, they will get hungry.
- Bring a stroller or wagon—not only will this help keep the kiddos contained, but you can also store your purchases, coats and more.
- Dress in layers—wear layers of clothing so you can add or remove if you feel hot or cold. And don’t forget to wear comfy shoes!
- Don’t forget the H2O—pack a handy bottle of water to keep you hydrated during the show.
Get your tickets here and enjoy a jam-packed day at The Baby Show.
