October is a pretty splendid month, featuring not one but two major holidays. And as the great pumpkin features prominently in both Thanksgiving and Halloween, it makes sense to honour it with a slew of pumpkin and fall festivals. They’re a ton of fun for kids young and old with mazes, crafts, delicious food and the odd pumpkin canon. Plus, the colours of fall make for beautiful photos that the grandparents are clamouring to see.
Downey’s Farm in Caledon
We love the build-your-own scarecrow available at Downey’s Farm, but it’s just one of the many PumpkinFest activities available. This annual event also includes duck races, puppet shows and thousands upon thousands of pumpkins.
Brooks Farms in Mount Albert
Got older kids? They’ll want to wander to the ‘Dark Side of the Hill‘ where scary zombies await. The younger tykes will be happy with corncob blasters, pig races, and a giant jumping pillow. Plus, you know…pumpkins.
Pick a day, pick a pumpkin, and get ready for an outing full of food, activities and entertainment.
We’ve got 9 more pumpkin patches spread out across the GTA. See all of our Perfect Pumpkin Patches in Toronto here.
