The slogan at Hopson Grace is ‘come back to the table’, and walking into this new Toronto boutique, you quickly understand why.
Everything is airy and light, and looking over the culinary-inspired treasures immediately inspires thoughts of entertaining dinner guests—what you’d cook and how you’d lay everything out for that next barbecue, dinner party or afternoon tea.
That’s exactly what owners Andrea Hopson and Martha Grace McKimm want—to bring people back to the table to enjoy dining and entertaining with friends and family, something Andrea feels has become a lost art. She says she sometimes serves her family meals on the run, too, but wants to encourage families to sit down together and talk over a meal.
With sweets from France, olive oil from Spain, glassware from Germany, dishes from Italy, wall art from Amsterdam, woodcraft from Quebec, linens from Vancouver and bone china from the UK, their shop is a treasure box of culinary jewels culled from around the world.
The store has opened just in time for our favourite holiday, Mother’s Day. If you’re shopping for a treasure for the MIL or your own mom, we love the linens from Vancouver and the Italian outdoor tableware that won’t break the bank.
So you’ve got the pretty plates and the table’s all set—now you need something delicious to serve. Good thing we’ve got 8 Healthy Food Solutions in Toronto to help.
