Marmaduke

If the fam is obsessed with dogs and you’re looking for a flick for movie night this month, consider this new CGI entry on Netflix. It’s based on the popular newspaper comic strip of the same name and was supposed to hit theatres back in 2019, but various delays pushed it to this month. Pete Davidson stars as the voice of the titular Great Dane, with the likes of J.K. Simmons, Jason Anthony, and David Koechner also lending their voice talents.

Looking for a little extra appreciation this Mother’s Day? Inspire your kids (and your partner) with this Peanuts special, in which Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the gang come together to celebrate the amazing moms in their lives.

The show doles out surprising and educational facts about some of the coolest and most recognizable foods in American food culture, so be sure to come hungry.

You had the theme song stuck in your head as a kid, so why shouldn’t your children learn about the joys of these two chipmunks too? It’s not a reboot, it’s a comeback, the official poster teases. Presenter David Attenborough is back, only this time he’s offering his soothing voice to the big bad world of dinos. The show uses technology to travel 66 million years back in time, to an era when these jaw-dropping creatures roamed the earth and populated the skies. It’s a big-budget offering that’s bound to appeal to kids and adults alike, although the realistic creatures may be a bit too scary for some younger children out there.
Dear Evan Hansen
May 27 on Crave
The film adaptation of the award-winning Broadway play hits Crave this month, making the story of a teen with social anxiety disorder even more accessible. The PG-13 offering isn’t suitable for all families, but for those with older kids it could be an important film to watch as it opens the door for conversations on mental health and other pertinent teen issues.
