King Edward hotel offers Take-out Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings
This Christmas, Le Royal Meridien King Edward is once again liberating reluctant holiday cooks from the confines of their kitchens with the ultimate gift: take-out Christmas Dinner. Rather than spending the day slaving in the kitchen or serving guests an odd assortment of holiday pot-luck, revelers across the GTA can now enjoy a delicious slow-roasted turkey with all the fixings delivered right to their car by the King Edward Culinary Concierge.
“Our team of award-winning chefs is working on Christmas Day so you don’t have to,” says Robbie Bishop, Area Director of Sales and Marketing Americas, Le Royal Meridien King Edward. “We’ve reinstated this tradition due to popular demand so people can give themselves or an over-worked loved one the gift of a leisurely, relaxed Christmas spent enjoying the company of friends and family.”
Executive Chef Daniel Schick has created a yuletide menu sure to impress even the most discerning mother-in-law. The menu serves 10 to 12 people at the price of $350 and includes:
Roasted Carrot and Parsnip Soup
****
Slow Roasted 20 Pound Turkey
Apple Celery Dressing
Potato Gratin
Vegetable Medley
Cranberry Sauce
Turkey Sage Jus
Ace Bakery Bread Rolls
****
Eggnog Tiramisu Trifle
Festive Cookies
For those who prefer beef, the turkey and stuffing can be substituted for the King Edward’s famous Beef Wellington and red wine sauce for $400. Heating instructions are included with both menus options and home-chefs should allow a least one hour to re-heat the meal.
On December 24 and 25, customers can pull up to the side doors of the hotel and have their warm turkey dinner delivered right to their car. Orders must be placed prior to December 20, 2005 by calling 416-863-3248.
For those who prefer to avoid the kitchen all together on Christmas Day, The King Edward hotel serves its renowned Christmas Dinner in the historic and newly renovated Sovereign Ballroom.
Because Christmas dinner at the more than 100-year-old hotel is extremely popular, interested guests should book now by calling 416-863-3248.
