Pumpkins, Pumpkins

Pumpkins are so much more than a decoration for lighting up the night on Halloween. It turns out they are nutritious, delicious and very low cal (we can’t say we don’t love that part).
We found a few savoury recipes to whip up this season that we’re sure your family and friends will love. My fave? The pumpkin chili with cranberries because besides tasting great, it incorporates all of the best foods of the month. The cranberries and pumpkin give it a sweetness that might be more palatable for your kids than the traditional spicy kind of chili. I also strongly recommend making a big batch of the pumpkin pancakes and keeping the leftovers in the freezer. That way you can pull them out for a snack or quick breakfast when you are in a rush. Just heat them up in the toaster or the microwave and you’re all set to go.

Don’t let anyone tell you that you don’t know your Jack.
