Ottawa Christmas Tree Lots and Cut Your Own Tree Farms

Ottawa Christmas Tree Lots and Farms - SavvyMom

The perfect tree for you and your family is somewhere at one of these Ottawa Christmas tree farms or lots in and around the Ottawa area! Some of these locations offer cut-your-own trees so you can be like the Griswolds, while others have precut trees to choose from like Charlie Brown. Check for squirrels before bringing it into your house!

Here’s where to find a real Christmas tree in the Ottawa area:

Fresh Ottawa Christmas Tree Lots:

Parkdale Market

Where is it located: Parkdale Avenue

If a drive out of the city isn’t what you are looking for, stay close to home and select a pre-cut tree at the Parkdale Market. Stock up on goodies for the week from the vendors and find the tree that will get you in the holiday spirit. There’s nothing wrong with creating your own adventure. Just don’t forget the hot chocolate, it’s a Christmas tree must!

Byward Market

Where is it located: 55 Byard Market Square

Until December 24th, get your tree downtown at the Byward Market. Explore the other shops and vendors in the area, and look for special holiday pop up events. Also, on select weekend dates, take a horse-drawn carriage ride!

Ottawa Area Christmas Tree Farms:

Ian’s Christmas Adventure Park and Tree Farm

Where is it located: Beckwith

We aren’t sure what will be more popular with the kids: taking the hay ride, meeting Santa, sledding on the hill, skating on the rink, or getting the tree itself at Ian’s Christmas Adventure Park and Tree Farm. Cut your tree or select a ready-to-go pre-cut from the lot. There are a variety of activities for the entire family. They are open Thursday and Friday from 1 pm until 9 pm, and weekends from 9 am until 9 pm.

Cedar Hill Christmas Tree Farm

Where is it located: Packenham

Hop in the car and plan a drive to Pakenham where Cedar Hill Christmas Tree Farm is waiting for you. Jump on the wagon to head into the field to find the perfect tree and then warm up with a bowl of soup from the Candycane Kitchen (or enjoy a different menu item, including baked goods!) Open daily until December 24. Their website offers a helpful list of ways to take care of your tree too.

Fallowfield Tree Farm

Where is it located: Stittsville

Located not far from the downtown area of Ottawa, the Fallowfield Tree Farm is excited to welcome back visitors to find their Christmas tree until Christmas Eve. The tree farm is open 7 days a week, between 9 am and 9 pm. On the weekends there will be additional activities like wagon rides, a bonfire for roasting marshmallows (bring your own roasting sticks and marshmallows) and hot chocolate.

The Log Farm

Where is it located: Cedarview Road

The Log Farm is open for holiday family fun that little ones will love during their Christmas at the Farm event on select dates in December. Families can pick up a pre-cut Christmas tree and enjoy the farm’s activities like the wagon ride, play areas and visiting the farm animals. Sing a Christmas song around the fire and enjoy the feel of an 1800s Christmas at this pioneer farm. The Farm market is open for visitors with or without a ticket.

Briggs Tree Farm

Where is it located: Navan

Briggs Tree Farm, in the east end of Ottawa (Navan), welcomes you to walk their 100 acre woods to find the perfect Christmas tree for your home. Come prepared! Dress for the occasion and bring your handsaw, sled and gloves. There are some saws and sleds you can borrow if available. After you explore the woods and find your tree, browse the Christmas gift shop and antiques barn.
