Welcome to the show. Today we’ve got two deliciously sweet new finds to share.
Urban Baking Co. is a new local boutique bakery that caters to those of us who love to give (and receive) sophisticated and artistic morsels of baked goodness. Wendy Raoux—a busy mom herself—has just released her winter catalogue. We’ve tested (and tasted), and we’re here to say that her treats are a feast for our tummies as much as they are for our eyes. We love her hand-decorated snowflake ‘tree’ centerpieces, a unique (and edible!) departure from traditional flower arrangements. They’d be perfect for special holiday dinners and family get-togethers.
If you want to see them in person, large and small snowflake trees will be on display at various craft fairs around Ottawa in November. Don’t snooze on this one. For the tree centerpieces, Wendy needs three to four days lead time (depending on the backlog) to bake ‘n’ make.
In other sweet news, families in Kanata North finally have their own kid-friendly coffee shop! No more getting the stink eye for bumping into someone’s chair with your stroller.
