Don’t know how to knit or crochet and no time to get crafty this late in the game, but still love giving (and receiving!) handmade Christmas gifts—what’s a busy gal to do?
The answer is easier than you think: plunk down on the couch with your laptop and take a gander at Etsy, the world’s largest online craft fair.
Since we love to save ourselves a trip to the mall as much as we love to support local entrepreneurs, we just love Etsy’s ‘shop local’ function. It helps us find vendors who live in our area.
Here are a few hot spots we found on Etsy, just to make your life a bit easier.
SewnNatural
Find natural and organic baby and toddler bedding, toys, and more. We’re smitten with this quilt and this one-of-a-kind upcycled gnome, which can be customized for the recipient. Owner Jennifer Chandler offers a ‘shop local’ option with local pick-up, and refunds for all shipping charges paid via Paypal.
Looby4Ewe
Kids and hats go together like cookies and milk and Jay Dziuba promises a quick turnaround time (just don’t leave it too long). If you can’t get your order in before the holidays, we still think these little caps would look cute any time of year.
