We think 45 years is more than enough time to learn a thing or two about making kids happy, and African Lion Safari has been doing it for that long. Now that they’re celebrating their 45th anniversary season, they’re making it even better.

So go wild this summer, but take heed and follow our tips on how to make the most of your African Lion Safari adventure.

cool off your little monkeys

Cool-Off Your Little Monkeys
Cool off in the newly-expanded Misumu Wet Play interactive water adventure zone where kids can stroll through sprinklers, spouts and stream jets, trek under rain trees and tumble buckets, interact with gadgets, gizmos and geysers. Just don’t forget to pack bathing suits, towels and sunscreens to fully enjoy the pool party.

preserve your memories

Preserve Your Memories
Imagine your kids’ surprise when they come face to face with a 14 ft. tall giraffe. While you’re busy snapping shots of all the Safari’s incredible animals, don’t forget to capture your children’s reactions for priceless memories that will last a lifetime.

animal shows at African Lion Safari

Be Prepared for Showtime
A trip through the large game reserves is just the beginning of your amazing day on Safari. You will want to catch all of the exciting animal performances but be sure to arrive early for the best seats. Then stick around after the shows to get ‘up-close and personal’ with amazing animals and their trainers.

Elephant Swim at African Lion Safari

Elephants Are Tons of Fun
We think that one of the best parts of a Safari visit is watching the Elephant Swim. Make sure you arrive five minutes early, so you can get a waterside view of Canada’s largest herd of Asian elephants as they splash, spray and swim.

Good to Know: Misumu is open daily until September 1. Admission includes a drive through the large game reserves in your own vehicle, a leisurely cruise aboard the ‘African Queen’ boat, a journey on the ‘Nature Boy’ scenic railway, exciting and educational bird and animal shows, the Asian Elephant Round-Up, Pets’ Corner, Misumu Bay Wet Play and so much more.

You should go wild at least once a year.
