If you’re looking forward to Spring Break in Metro Vancouver, but didn’t get your kids registered for anything… no worries! We’ve got you covered. Here are some fun things you can do on spring break without a ton of planning.

PlayDome at BC Place

PlayDome has all sorts of fun rides over spring break, with an indoor carnival of fun for the whole family. While you can save money if you buy your tickets online, tickets are still available for purchase at the door.

Vancouver Aquarium

If you’re looking for some fishy fun, the Vancouver Aquarium has a new shark-themed 4-D movie, you still have a chance to see the Discover Rays gallery before it closes April 2, and an Easter scavenger hunt.

Healthy Family Expo

Are you trying to get more active? The Healthy Family Expo is happening March 18, 2018 at the Vancouver Convention Centre (East) from 9 am to 6 pm. There will be food to sample, interactive classes and activities to try as well as performances by Bobs & Lolo and Jessie Farrell with guest appearances by Super Why, Scout, Daisy and Daniel Tiger.

TELUS World of Science

For fun STEM activities, check out the drop-in activities available at Telus World of Science over Spring Break in their Spring lab. Enjoy fun dinosaur facts and sword swallowing, impossible stunts and paleontology and check out the regular exhibits while you’re there.

Space Centre

Looking for fun that’s out of this world? The H.R. McMillan Space Centre has activities all Spring Break long, no registration required. Special activities run between 11:30 am and 4 pm daily featuring robots, engineering, the body in space, mining in space, culture and food in space. The movie Asteroid Mission Extreme will be premiering in the Planetarium Star Theatre.

Other Adventures

For more fun and aventure, consider taking an Aquabus to Granville Island and explore the Kid’s Market. Alternately, take the Seabus and do some crafts at Lonsdale Quay. There are so many great options to enjoy Spring Break in metro Vancouver, no registration required. Have fun!
