Finding activities that appeal to the whole family – from toddlers to teens to parents – can be tough. But mini golf is a perennial favourite for all ages, and for good reason: the rules are simple, all skill levels can play together, and it’s satisfying to get the ball in the hole, even if it’s not the coveted hole-in-one.
Plus, it’s active and, more often than not, outdoors. If you haven’t played mini golf in a few years, this might be the ideal summer to check out some of the local driving ranges and destinations for mini golf in Vancouver and the surrounding region. And even for the serious golfers, a round of mini golf can be a great chance to practise putting. For beginner golfers, it’s a chance to get in a low-stakes and speedy round of practise.

The last tee time is one hour before closing and weekends do get busier. (Note: the train ride at this location has not yet re-opened under new covid protocols.)
Hi-Knoll Golf Centre – Surrey
Near the Surrey-Langley border, this outdoor 18-hole mini golf and driving range is one of the newer facilities in the region. (And be warned: Cultus Lake Water Park is just across the road, so your kids will be begging to keep the fun going – pack bathing suits and make a full day of both sites.
