Driving Ranges & Mini Golf in Vancouver & Lower Mainland

Mini Golf in Vancouver - SavvyMom

Finding activities that appeal to the whole family – from toddlers to teens to parents – can be tough. But mini golf is a perennial favourite for all ages, and for good reason: the rules are simple, all skill levels can play together, and it’s satisfying to get the ball in the hole, even if it’s not the coveted hole-in-one.

Plus, it’s active and, more often than not, outdoors. If you haven’t played mini golf in a few years, this might be the ideal summer to check out some of the local driving ranges and destinations for mini golf in Vancouver and the surrounding region. And even for the serious golfers, a round of mini golf can be a great chance to practise putting. For beginner golfers, it’s a chance to get in a low-stakes and speedy round of practise.

Mini Golf in Vancouver:

Pacific Adventure Mini Golf at Playland – Vancouver

Got a sweet tooth? Then you’ll enjoy the Sweet Escape mini golf course inside Playland at the PNE. This candy-themed course is included with admission to the park, making it a great break from the thrill rides and busy midway. Make a day of it and head to East Vancouver for a round of golf and rollercoaster or two.

Seymour Creek Golf Centre – North Vancouver

Over on the North Shore, head to Seymour Creek Golf Centre and enjoy the 18-hole outdoor course in one of the most beautiful areas in the region. Kids under five play free, and the facility offers birthday parties, alongside the family golf.

Mini Golf in Vancouver: Surrey

Art Knapp Family Fun Zone – Surrey

Here’s a two-for-one deal: check out the plants and gifts at the Art Knapp Garden Centre on King George in south Surrey, and then take the kids for a round of mini golf. It’s win-win for both parents and kids. The 18-hold mini golf course travels through the outdoor portions of the nursery, so there’s a great view of all the perennials, trees, and more. The last tee time is one hour before closing and weekends do get busier. (Note: the train ride at this location has not yet re-opened under new covid protocols.)

Hi-Knoll Golf Centre – Surrey

Near the Surrey-Langley border, this outdoor 18-hole mini golf and driving range is one of the newer facilities in the region. Hi-Knoll Mini Golf is known for its lush views of the surrounding farmlands and the unique mini water features throughout the course, making it a great option for both kids and adults.

Mini Golf in Vancouver: Lower Mainland

West Coast Mini Putt – Richmond

Rain or shine, it’s always tee time at West Coast Mini Putt. This indoor course is open regardless of the weather outside so there’s never a rainy-day cancellation of your fun. The course is divided into two parts – half with regular lighting and half with black light – making it a unique experience for all ages. The facility hosts birthday  parties and corporate events, as well.

Giggle Ridge Adventure Golf – Cultus Lake

Giggle Ridge Adventure Golf is just one of the ways to have fun at Cultus Lake Adventure Park. The course is themed after a mountain lumber camp with quirky and cool details throughout the 18 holes. Entry is included in the amusement park admission price, so golf can come before, after, or midway through all the other rides, from a ferris wheel to a merry-go-round. (And be warned: Cultus Lake Water Park is just across the road, so your kids will be begging to keep the fun going – pack bathing suits and make a full day of both sites.

Castle Fun Park – Abbotsford

One of the most popular destinations in the entire region features three separate mini golf courses – one outdoors and two indoors, each with their own unique theme (one of the indoor courses, for example, is a journey under the sea.) This long-time family favourite is a hot spot at any time of year, thanks to its arcade games, go-cart track and more. Head out to Castle Fun Park for a family-friendly day that’s good for all ages.

Eaglequest Golf – Coquitlam

With an 18-hole mini golf course and FootGolf (a blend of golf and soccer) attached to a regular nine-hole course, this is a great choice for all ages. Located just a few minutes off the highway in Coquitlam, the Eaglequest Golf facility is central for those coming from both east and west. Check for updated covid protocols and reservations.

Fraserview Golf Course

The driving range at Fraserview Golf Course is a two-tier, partially covered driving range with practice putting greens, PGA of Canada instructors on staff who are available to help you with your game, a private teaching room, and on-site washrooms.

McCleery Golf Course‘s driving range has covered stalls, a private teaching room, a PGA of Canada team of professionals for consultation, a small retail shop, and on-site washrooms. Currently they are offering extended hours of operation.
