Dear Savvy Families,
Wow. We’re not sure how this week has arrived so quickly! We hope it finds you cozy at home with the kids and not too frantic in the final stages of your holiday prep.
But if it was one of those years where things just went a little sideways and you found yourself shopping, wrapping and decorating later than you’d like, that’s okay, too. Let’s all take a deep breath and pinky swear that we’re not going to beat ourselves up about it. We’ve all had those years, and we’re sure that there’s none of us who couldn’t use their own private posse of elves to get it all done during the holiday season.
Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, we hope the coming days bring you some happy times with your family. And we want to thank you for being such loyal readers in 2014. Each time you open, click or comment you help us to keep doing what we do best—bringing you the Savvy intel that makes being a mom just a little easier.
In case you’ve been meaning to look up some pointers for making your holiday dinner, here are food editor Jan Scott’s secrets for the perfect turkey. Also, check out her recipe for cranberry sauce, and this yummy stuffing recipe from SavvyStories. And here’s a handy printable checklist that can help you with timing all your dishes on the big day.
Make memories with our favourite board games and books, then curl up together and watch one of these great family movies.
Please accept our warmest wishes to you and your families for a wonderful holiday season.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,
Your friends at Savvy HQ
