1860s Fall Fair at Upper Canada Village
When is it? September 14th and 15th
Where is it? Upper Canada Village is located on the Seaway, South of Ottawa (near Morrisburg), on County Road 2
While many of our local fall fairs have a long-standing history in the area, the Fall Fair Weekend at Upper Canada Village will make it feel like you are truly back in the 1800s. Tickets are available in advance online and children 4-years-old or younger are free.
At the weekend Fall Fair, step back in time and enjoy activities from hundreds of years ago. The Fair is based on what an 1860s fall fair would have been like originally! There will be activities for kids and families like music and magic shows.
Carp Fair

In Ottawa’s West End, the Carp Fair returns to delight residents in Carp and the surrounding Ottawa areas. Live musical entertainment will take place each evening, but also in the afternoon. Derby Night is on Thursday, September 26th. The Family Circle Tent has entertainment for the kids and we know everyone will love the Super Dogs show! There are also horse shows, the midway with rides everyone will love (look for special rates throughout the weekend), and of course fair food for everyone to snack on.

Metcalfe Fair
When is it? October 3rd to October 6th
Where is it? The Metcalfe Fairgrounds in the Village of Metcalfe, just off of Bank Street in Ottawa’s South end
At the end of the month, you’ll want to head the Metcalfe Fair. This fair has been taking place since 1856 and features agriculture exhibits, as well as a midway, cattle show, and children’s entertainment. A few of the highlights your family may love include the demolition derby, the old car show, special family demonstrations, and the fiddling and step dancing. The midway is open at different times (and for different rates) throughout the weekend, but rides are free from 10 am until 11 am on Saturday.
