Heading from the office, the hockey rink, or anywhere at all…straight to a party?
There are three little secrets you can use to make this day-into-night dressing simple, and you can use these three tricks whether you are going to an evening event from work or from your kid’s hockey practice.
1. A dress
It really is that simple. A dress is one of the easiest ways to move from daytime events to evening ones without changing a thing. Knit, shift, and wrap dresses work really well here. The key is the styling. Think about putting together an outfit that feels slightly more dressed up than what you would normally wear during the day, and perhaps slightly less dressy than what you would wear to an evening event if you were going straight there from home. Booties, sparkly stud earrings, and patent leather accessories work really well here.
2. Add some bling to any everyday outfit
Whether you’re going to a casual party with friends or a work event after hours, all you need to transition your outfit is a little bling. Think bold sparkly jewellery, statement clutches and evening shoes. Toss these in a bag and throw them on on-the-go and you’re all set for a night out.
3. Layers on and off
Hiding your evening attire under daytime garb is another sneaky way to make a quick transition. Blouses under blazers; dresses under skirts; sequins under sweaters. These all make for Superwoman-like transformations going from day to night.
These three techniques work for any day-to-night transition you can think of! You can choose one technique to create your outfit or combine the techniques to make your life even easier. Pop over here if you’d like to see them in action.
