Three plus years as Executive Editor. Two Best Blogger Awards at the Canadian Online Publishing Awards (a third nomination, to be announced in November!) One hundred and ninety blogs! And one very bittersweet goodbye.
Today, I’m saying goodbye to SavvyMom and my wonderful colleagues. Sometimes you just know it’s…time. Time to start something new. Time to trust that what’s next will be so incredibly awesome. Time to take a risk. So that’s exactly what I’m doing. I hope, one day, my children will imitate what they see.
Looking back, at all 190(!) of my blogs, I’ve compiled what I consider my “Best Of” list. Thank you, savvy readers, from the bottom of my heart, for reading, for your loyalty, for cheering me and the SavvyMom team on, for your comments, for challenging my views and offering yours, and most of all, hopefully chuckling, because we all know to parent, we need a sense of humour! (What’s the hardest thing about parenting? The answer of course is...KIDS!)
It only seems fitting, since this is a parenting site, to quote Dr. Seuss; “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” And, I’m doing both. I hope you enjoy reading some of these, as much as I enjoyed writing them. Keep being Savvy. xoxo Rebecca
