We’re always looking to spice things up a bit, but more often than not, the notion of going through the recipe books, buying all the necessary ingredients, and prepping the meal is just too overwhelming to enjoy. What if you could try out some new family recipes, stock up your freezer (read: no frantic meal prep), and do it WITHOUT hitting the grocery store in advance? Even better, bring some friends along for the culinary fun?
The Supper Studio offers a fabulous solution to all of these dilemmas. Located in a sweet house on Elizabeth St in Okotoks, and run by sisters (who know all about the pressures of motherhood), there are different options for moms on the go to get creative and healthy meals in the freezer without the pressure of shopping or prep in advance.
To start, pick your date of choice
Then choose from a multitude of meals in their monthly menu (a minimum of five meals need to be ordered). After that you have the option of coming in to assemble the meals yourself or you can choose the “assemble for me” option (read: some much needed break time from the kitchen). Even better: bring one of the kids along to help prepare the meal—it’s a perfect way to teach them about cooking and healthy eating in one!
We love that each month, the chosen meal options are not only delicious, but designed to be hearty and healthy and feed a family of four to six people. Step-by-step instruction is provided, and freezer safe cooking instructions are sent home with your meal.
Looking to do some more learning?
The Supper Studio offers different themed workshops to get a taste of what they offer such as Cookie Jar and Soup in a Jar creations for mom and the kids. Workshops change monthly, have a maximum of 10 participants and are run on Saturdays. Stay tuned for more kids’ classes and potential birthday party options to come!
We also love that you can turn a night of meal making into a fun evening with friends. Private parties are available (read: bring some wine to enjoy while creating) and are fabulous as wedding or baby showers (to stock up the bride/mom-to-be’s freezer), or just as a night out with the girls (or a great couple’s night out to get any hesitant Dads exciting about cooking).
Create edible works of art in this studio setting—even the toughest critics will enjoy the results.
