Stake Their Space

Is it a command, a demand, a skill set…or a store? It’s a store actually, and it’s called Make Your Bed (so you see the confusion). It’s new, so don’t worry if this is the first you’ve heard of it.
Make Your Bed is a Calgary kids’ furniture store, located in Deerfoot Meadows, carrying a range of kids’ bedroom furniture, including the full line of Maxtrix Kids beds, dressers and accessories.

Until recently, Maxtrix Kids was only available to purchase from the US with exorbitant shipping costs and duty attached. Still, many Canadian families bit the proverbial bullet for these solid birch pieces (even the drawers are dove-tailed) because of the wide range of fun add-ons like princess tents, slides and curtained-off dollhouse play areas. For the boys, think castles and pirates.

Furniture is available in three colours—white, brown and natural birch—and is designed to be the first and last bed you’ll ever buy for your children. A basic daybed starts at just under $500 and the floor models in store are climbable, rollable and jumpable (ok, maybe not). We love the idea of buying quality wood furniture (no off-gassing) that’s stylish and flexible enough to last from the tot to teen years.
