Many of us want to introduce our children to quality arts and entertainment, but the realities of getting a small child to sit through a two-hour performance may turn the whole thing into a nightmare. Sigh.
Not so with Cirque du Soleil‘s latest touring show. Running in Calgary until May 24, Kurios is one performance that will keep the whole family spellbound.
Transporting your family to a turn-of-the-century fantasy world complete with steam engines and flying machines, you’ll gaze in wonder at these marvelous contraptions, not to mention the flexibility and the sheer bravado of the troops themselves. Inside the wacky inventor’s cabinet of curiosities, the spirit of invention comes to life with acrobats, aerialists and jugglers who take your breath away. Children of all ages will be mesmerized by upside down performances and feats of strength.
Cirque’s strongest show in years is both delightful and jaw-dropping. Good to know: Tickets start at $54 and there’s good value in the family packages. Weekend matinees won’t disrupt bedtime, but we reckon you won’t have any issues during this riveting production.
