We’re loving all the boutique fitness studios in Calgary, but without childcare, getting to one of these inventive classes is tricky. That’s why we’re loving The Dailey Method on Macleod Trail. Not only does this fitness studio offer childcare, it also gently whips our bodies into shape.
Infused with a combination of pilates, barre, yoga and dance, this inventive low-impact, full-body workout is all about making spinal health a priority. With an emphasis on core strengthening, these exercises help to offset osteoporosis, and they’re gentle enough to do every day—even throughout pregnancy. Should those abs split while carrying baby, you can bet they’ll be fused back together after getting back to the studio.
Childcare is offered for babies (no minimum age requirement) and kids up to 10 years old during weekday 8:30 am and 9:45 classes. The bright playroom rocks a happy vibe with toys, crafts and a baby change station.
Start with the Dailey Basics or Dailey Barre before working your way up to a calorie-blasting, 45-minute Dailey Interval. We emerged longer, stronger—and hopefully soon—a bit leaner.
The only downside is spotting Five Guys in the same parking lot. Have strength, ladies.
