Summer is a great time of year to check out a round of mini-golf and bring out your inner child. Outdoor courses have amazing water hazards to keep the game interesting, (and safe!) but, then again, glow-in-the-dark has its own allure to it. Either way, it will be sure to be a game to remember this summer. Here are some local places for mini golf in Calgary that are great for families.
Outdoor Mini Golf in Calgary
Winsport (Canada Olympic Park), has a golf course on the west side of the campus just up the hill from the arena. This course is great for kids over 5 years of age and has lots of hazards and plenty of longer fairways to get those swings in. Try a friendly game with your kids with a par of 52, it will surely create a little competitive spirit between the players. Another benefit of playing here, is that there are many other outdoor adventures to try out with your kids within the park. Highly recommend the luge ride (kids over 110cm tall) and continue the competition with a race down the infamous ski hill.
Crystal Ridge (The MaxMan), is an outdoor course in Okotoks, which is a great course for all the southern Calgarians to access. Kids will love the many curved fairways and the water hazards. An interesting note for this course is that you can always purchase a beverage at the clubhouse to enjoy on the mini-golf course since some of us just play better with a glass of wine. Recommend going there for dinner and golf, why not make an evening out of it!
Pebble Beach (Oasis Greens Golf Centre), for those of you who wanted to play a course with a little more skill testing to it, this championship designed course is for you! Be sure to indulge in a little competitive game with your kids as the holes will test their golf and putting skills. Not recommended for the little ones or those who need to score a hole-in-one every time.

Mini Golf in Calgary: Indoor
Black lights, neon colours, and crazy artwork take mini golf in Calgary to a whole new level of fun. Kids love mini golf and love it even more when it’s in the dark. There’s a certain appeal to glow in the dark mini golf for kids of all ages.
Calgary has two indoor locations Monster Mini Golf with 18 holes of monster fun and great music or Century Sports Mini Golf with 18 holes winding through three different themes. Each of these locations offer gaming arcades as well to keep the kids busy while you wait for your next spot. These are great spots and often busy locations for birthday parties, so be sure to keep that in mind when choosing a time to visit.
Mini golf is the perfect adventure when you need to get out of the house for a low intensity activity while keeping to a budget. Most games will take you about an hour to complete, which makes it a great way to combine mini golf with another activity or dinner for a night out with the kids.
