Zaks Diner

Zaks Diner has multiple locations throughout Ottawa with many different brunch options that will always hit the spot! You will definitely want to add a milk shake to your order (tip: 1 milk shake will feed multiple kids!) Choose from Lox & Cream Cheese, Salmon, Eggs Benedict, or a classic Canadian breakfast with bacon, sausage, and add on a thick slice of French toast. Zaks Diner also serves breakfast all day long so make brunch a time that works for you 😉 Zaks Diner is a great spot for family brunch in Ottawa.

Chateau Montebello

Make it a day trip and head to Montebello, just 45 minutes outside of Ottawa, for a fun family day and an out of this world brunch experience! Once a month, Fairmont Montebello opens its Sunday Brunch to the public so you will want to reserve in advance. The crepes are delicious, with local maple syrup (kept warm at all times), fresh pressed juice, omelettes made ready just as you like them, and tables upon tables of meats, cheeses, yogurt with all the toppings, and more. If you make it out to enjoy the brunch why not pair it with an afternoon at Parc Omega while you are there.

Elgin Street Diner

If you are local to Ottawa you most likely had a “day after a night out” breakfast at ESD and not much has changed since those days! Enjoy the laid back atmosphere that ESD has always provided with the same great service and huge portions.  Known for their cheap eats with huge portions and great quality this is top pick for busy families on the go. The milkshakes here are also a winner and the food options are endless. When you are finished eating head over to the Nature Museum for some family fun exploring mammals, dinosaurs and birds.
