Disney In Concert: Mary Poppins

Jack Singer Concert Hall – 205 8 Ave SE
October 11 at 7:30 pm and October 12 at 2 pm
calgaryphil.com

The only thing better than watching the beloved Disney classic, Mary Poppins, is watching the movie while the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra performs each of the musical pieces live along with the film. I had the opportunity to attend the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra’s performance of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and it was an unforgettable experience. The musical performance is so seamless with the film that plays on a screen above the orchestra, you feel like you truly are immersed in the movie yourself. Sing along with your favourite songs performed by the CPO as you watch Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke bring magic to the silver screen.
