October is, without a doubt, my favourite month. I adore Thanksgiving. It has all the qualities of Christmas, minus the demand for shopping and gift exchanges. Halloween is also a big deal in our house as we have a fun family tradition of making costumes each year (and we really do go all out!).
Then there’s apple picking, pie baking, and cider drinking to squeeze into the month, not to mention leaf raking (or leaf jumping, depending on how you look at it) to take care of, and corn mazes to run through. It’s definitely the month where we thrive, and have the most fun, and I keep a running list of some of our favourite activities to remind us of how much there is to do in just one month.
If you’re as enthusiastic about fall as I am, you might enjoy this October bucket list I’ve put together for my own family. It’s an easy way to remind us of what we like to do this season, and the second I get the sense that anyone is bored, we have an automatic collection of ideas to turn to when we need to pass the time.
Here is a list of my favourite things to do in October…
