Sometimes, you just need a little comfort—food, that is.
Get thee to the Heartland Cafe in Okotoks, where the concept of comfort combined with organic ingredients and whole food cooking is made for you. Options range from simple classics (Salmon Chowder with Organic Focaccia Pan Bread); to sexy salads (Organic Quinoa Salad with Veggies and Persian Lime Oil Dressing); to supreme sandwiches (Shredded Duck Confit with Blue Cheese Aioli).
Located in a century-old church, Heartland’s delightfully quaint atmosphere is surprisingly kid friendly. High chairs are available and kids get their own colouring pages and select menu. They can choose from kicked-up classics, such as Mac and Cheese or Flatbread Pizza. We love the PB & J made with organic honey-grain bread and served with fresh fruit and veggies—it feeds two little tummies easily.
If you’re a brunch lover, we recommend making reservations online. It gets busy.
