Keeping Our Cool

It’s tough to come up with fresh ways of keeping cool when we’re feeling hot and bothered.
A great way to break up the routine is by finding a new place to visit. Start by checking out some of our favourite wading pools, local playgrounds and area beaches, one of which happens to be a fave place to grab a slice of pizza.

The City of Ottawa is hosting a free, informal drop-in program called Park-ticipate for kids aged 4–10 in several parks in the East end. (And some of them have splash pads too.)

If you’re really keen to find something cool (in more ways than one!) you can brave the caves near Lac Philippe. (It’s always a few degrees cooler in there. And there are no bats. We promise.)
