Maple-Whiskey Glazed Salmon

Maple-Whiskey Glazed Salmon

Serves 4

You’ll Need

  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 3 Tbsp whiskey
  • 4 salmon filets (6 oz. each), deboned, skin on
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Prep and Cook

  • 1
Combine the maple syrup, orange juice and whiskey in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat, cooking until thick and syrupy.
  • 2
Preheat the oven to 450°F. Place the salmon, skin side down, on a rimmed baking sheet, pat flesh dry with paper towel, drizzle the olive oil over the surface and season with salt and pepper. Bake for 5 minutes.
  • 3
Using a pastry brush, cover the salmon with a thick layer of the glaze. Return to the oven and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until opaque and white juices appear. Remove from the oven, brush with another coat of glaze and let rest for 5 minutes. Cut crosswise into pieces and serve warm or a room temperature.
