Looking for a little festive fun with the fam? Here is our list of Great Ways to Fill Your Holi-Days in Toronto. There’s nothing like finding new ways to frolic with your family before, during and after the break.
Best Stop for Hot Chocolate
Leslieville’s Ambiance Chocolat makes mouth-watering cups of cocoa to go (a small amount of seating is available) to help keep everyone happy on wintery walks.
Best Trails for a Winter Hike
Whether your kids can handle a long hike or more of a short term experience, the well-trod ravines, paths and gorgeous vistas make the Brick Works a perfect spot. Afterwards, warm them up in Cafe Belong with gourmet snacks, then lace up their skates for a spin around the indoor/outdoor skating trail. Good to Know: December 15 is the date of their family fun Winter Solstice Event starting at 4 pm.
Best Theatre for Family Flicks
The multiplex may offer more choices, but for an intimate, old-school theatre-style setting (with great popcorn, too), bring the kids down to the Revue Cinema, the Roncesvalles not-for-profit movie theatre, which will be showing San Franscisco’s Nutracker (an affordable way to see the classic ballet), Home Alone and other family films on weekends throughout the season. A free screening of Miracle on 34th Street will be held on December 15—come early for seats.
It may be chilly, but that’s no reason to stay home—check out the rest of our Great Ways to Fill Your Holi-Days in Toronto.
