Last night, at the 2019 SAG Awards, Emily Blunt not only took home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role (for her part in “A Quiet Place”) she also gushed over her husband John Krasinski and their children during her speech, which gave us all the feels.
If you’re like most of us here in January in Canada, you’re cold right now and could use some sappy, fun, good news to warm your cold, cold body.
Enter Emily.
So why such adoration for her? Well, for one thing, the world is a weird, weird place right now with a lot of crappy stuff happening. Sometimes, we just want love to win and triumph. We just want a good story and a happy clip to make us feel positive. And Emily Blunt oozes happiness and love and all things good.
In her speech, she refers to her daughters as ‘little poems’, which is cute enough in itself. But what we think might be the cutest is the way John Krasinski reacted to her win.
And, clearly, we’re not alone.
